ArchCity Defenders (ACD) is a holistic legal advocacy organization that combats the criminalization of poverty and state violence, especially in communities of color. Their foundation of civil and criminal legal representation, social services, impact litigation, policy and media advocacy, and community collaboration achieves and inspires justice and equitable outcomes for people throughout the St. Louis region and beyond.

Northside Movement Center is a nonprofit organization and joint venture of Action St. Louis and ArchCity Defenders that provides north St. Louis with convening space for community organizations and St. Louis residents to move together towards a brighter future.

Friends of Northside supports joint ventures of Action St. Louis and ArchCity Defenders by coordinating capital campaigns, receiving charitable donations, managing endowments, and lending or donating to affiliated nonprofits, all with oversight of a governing board that includes members of the community.
